State of Bihar (SLP Criminal No. 4496/2023), a petition under Article 136 of the Constitution of India challenging the Patna High Court’s judgment of 21-03-2023 denying pre-arrest bail, the Bench comprising Justices Aniruddha Bose, Ahsanuddin Amanullah, and Augustine George Masih refused to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
The Court based its decision on the seriousness and gravity of the alleged offenses and the apparent non-cooperation of the petitioner. Consequently, the Court ordered the petitioner to surrender before the concerned court within 2 weeks.
